90 Days = 90s On the Clock
As of October 2nd, there are 90 days remaining in 2024. Just 12 weeks and six days, or 2160 hours. You can tell we're nearing the end of the year because stores are ALREADY putting Jolly Saint Nick and his crew on the shelves. Just prancing and ho, ho, ho'in past Halloween and Thanksgiving.
In real estate, we tend to pack it in because the market generally slows during the holiday season. Most home owners decide to wait until after the New Year to consider putting the home on the market, wanting to enjoy one last Christmas at home.
Those 90 days will fly by if you're not careful. There's a steeple chase worth of impediments that can set you back in your health, wealth, and mental in consecutive months!
October has the candy. I'm a sucker (no pun intended) for some Wildberry Skittles. Consider the lingering effects of delayed dental visits, too!
November is Thanksgiving AND Black Friday. This double-doozy hits your waistline and your pocketbook. I love dressing and giblet gravy with some canned cranberry sauce - yes lawd! Now you're full, and have to camp out at 3 AM at Best Buy to get the deal on a 87.25" TV.
December is the trifecta. Dinner is Thanksgiving with poinsettias and whatever they didn't make for Thanksgiving. You've already outdone last year's performance on gifts for the kids or pets. Mentally, we're tired because many are without influential family members, whether from drama, distance, or death. Nonetheless, December can be tough for some.
These last 90 days of the year are like the final 90 seconds to two minutes of a football game—the 2-minute drill.
In those final moments of the game, legends are made. Names like Brady, Manning, and Mahomes are who kids pretend to be in the field when they need to be home in five minutes. Sure, the rest of the game is essential, but nobody reenacts the opening drive script from any of the greatest games ever.
My challenge for you is to treat these final 90 days like your favorite game-winning drive. Channel your inner QB and lead the offense that you call life to a game-winning touchdown!

The key to a successful two-minute drill is getting off to a fast start. The offense's goal is to gain positive yardage and develop a rythym for the drive. Just like your 90-day drive, taking action to gain early progress is in your favor.
The great Mel Robbins has a 5-Second Rule. No, not the one that has to do with food on the floor. This rule is a tool to stave off procrastination and take immediate action on an idea. IF you wait, your brain jumps in to "protect" you and the doubtful thoughts prevail.
Decide what you want and take the first step today. The goal is not to run a marathon today, but to take the action that moves you closer to the goal. Momentum and confidence will build as you are taking action!
Over the next 89 days (and beyond), I'll be sharing thoughts, stories and tools to enhance our personal development, sharpen leadership skills, and unlock an elite MINDSET.
